Footyhead's review rd 21 Blues defeat Richmond

The season is coming to the close and the Blues have a faint chance to still make the 8. All relying upon other teams winning and losing. Carlton can still make the finals. The Blues pulled off their grittiest win of the year on Saturday, beating Richmond by 10 points at the MCG. The Blues trailed by five goals at quarter-time before dominating thereafter to win 16.10 (106) to 14.12 (96) to stay in ninth place and remain within striking distance of Port Adelaide. If the Blues can beat Essendon at the MCG on Saturday night, they will travel to AAMI Stadium in the final round of the season to play Port in what will be a virtual elimination final. Carlton V Brisbane rd2 2012. Footyheads Review

Second game of the season and a trip to the Gabba playing the Lions who cracked a win in the first round. Carlton showed the benefits of past seasons and put substance to the target of a top four finish with the 91 point win. Footyhead is keeping a lid on his bias but the confidence is starting to get through the veneer of self control. GO YOU BLUES!!!!

Footyheads review 2nd Semi Carlton V West Coast

2nd Semi Final over in the West and Carlton played the game out to the very end. So close to victory coming back and in with a chance several times throughout the game. Even so the loss sucked. Season 2011 is over now and 2012 is the next outing for the Blues and at the minute looking good for fans. GO YOU BLUES!!

Footyhead's Carlton V Sydney comments...

Time some of the media were put on prozac to get them to match the pace of time passing after round four and the rabbiting on about coaches getting the bullet and who is going to win what at the end of the season is as premature as as da Vinci's helicopter.
